JD 6125M Stuck in 4WD

Hey everyone,

As the title says, we flick the switch back to 2wd but the front wheels stay engaged. Anyone had this?

Further 'trials' show that when parked, it will drop to 2WD. Crawling away in gear it remains 2WD, but as soon as any strain or revs are applied, it flips back into 4WD. An odd one, and I'm sure (or hope!!!) it's a simple fix.

Check the mfwd solenoid on the drop box... make sure the plug is clean. Make sure the brake switches are working correctly.

After that you would have to try a solenoid.. or better still check the pressure at the drop box. Using a known good machines solenoid would suffice

Check ur buttons on the side panel I cleaned mine few weeks back and had kinda the same problem used airline to clean around the buttons

Sorted.

It's was the fuse for the brakes. Brake lights weren't coming on so we replaced the fuse and all is well.

Thankfully something simple and not expensive.
