Shift cover roll pin broken?.... If the cable moves to the shift cover under the cab.

Remove the cable end from the shift cover lever and move it with a spanner or your fingers, if its easy to move more than likely its a broken roll pin.

Thats a cab tilt job and remove the cover and repin it... Later machines have double roll pins in them so they dont break... Earlier chassis numbers a single roll pin.

Doubt it can be done safely without the special cab tilting kit your dealer has.

Really?????????? Its easy to spend someone elses money they say

Wheel off, good axle stand under the axle, put the two bolts through the hinges, good long lifting strop and a telehandler, disconnect anything and everything what might get snagged, gently lift, once its up, prop it with a good lump of wood, replace roll pin, etc etc

Mind you, i did lift the entire cab off our 1594 with nothing more than a front end loader, pallet tines and two ratchet straps

im begrudged to pay anyone to do something i can do myself

:stop::stop::stop::stop::stop::woot: Please be very careful !!!! Fixing the roll pin is the easy bit. Tilting the cab is not so simple as above, it is a heavy lump and will go over centre. The correct tool for the job gives total control of the cab. Stay safe. :banghead:

Dont forget to remove the clutch cable! and the extra Oil tank behind the cab needs its mounting nuts removed. Remove the steps both sides and a length of box section will slide through the front of the cab. this can be used to safly tilt the cab if calculated correctly the protruding box section on the hinge side will hit the ground stopping the cab flopping over.
