JD 6820 problem

Our 04 6820 common rail engine tractor seems to have a strange problem. Whenever the weather is extremely hot, on occasions the top left hand warning light and red stop engine light comes on.
She is turned off straight away and she wont restart unless you leave her for 10-15 mins.
Did it 4-5 times day before yesterday but was a cooler day today and went fine all day.
Rads all clear and engine temp needle sits just below half way always.
No codes show up at all.
Any ideas?

Now Then..
You say it won't start?? Does it crank but not fire or not crank at all??
Anyway, my guess is the connector on the fuel rail pressure sensor is at fault.
Disconnect it, with a pointy thing take out the yellow bit, then with the same pointy thing just tweak the tongue shaped bit in each of the 3 terminals. You basically need a better contact in the connector..
See how you get on, eh..

Yes it cranks but wont fire. After 10-15 minutes it fires straight up as if nothing was wrong.
No codes show up.
If the ecu light (top left) comes on there will be a stored code, however you’ll need to enter diagnostics mode to retrieve it though. If you look the ops manual it tells you how to do this.
If you unplug the rail sensor, the pump defaults to full pressure so try starting it with it unplugged, it will generate more codes so worth getting the original codes before trying.

Thanks for the replies, will check it out later.
Problem is that it might not happen again this year unless we get some more serious hot weather.
When it first happened a couple of years ago the dealer checked with a laptop and couldn’t find any codes.
