Hi - it starts and turns over for a minute or so then just cuts out. Serviced, reconditioned the ECU but still the same problem. Could it be the battery? I have to jump start it becasue it is low - could it be that once started the tractor is trying to pull more energy from a bad battery - does not get it - and cuts out? grrr

Our fendt recently would start run for 10 seconds then stop.....difficult to start after a few minutes then same again.... Turned out a blockage at the non return valve on the first filter....probably doesn't help much though......

Vp44 or common rail? Could be a lift pump issue if it’s a vp44, however both engines need a minimum 12v to keep running especially the vp44 engine (don’t think it will even fire below 12v).
Get a tester on the alternator, you need 13.5-14-5v when it’s running, the tractor should be able to run just of the alternator once started.

It happened to me in a jd 6810 and it was that the submerged pump in the fuel tank had a bad connection and failed. Mine has a non-return valve between the diesel filter and the tank, which also failed to stop 10 seconds after starting

Fit a new genuine JD battery, then check that the alternator is charging correctly. The ECU will be the last thing to fail... Bosch VP44 pump I assume??

Will it stay running if the jumper cables remain connected? As said, battery voltage needs to be 12v+ .. if it doesn't stay running , then look for air, porous lines, and the lift pump. Does lift pump stay running with key returned to running position from the start position. There is a relay that does this as soon as the alternator starts charging.
