JD 8530 front drive shaft

Can the UJs on these driveshafts be renewed or is it a whole new drive shaft, it’s the front universal driveshaft. Got a quote for £1500, seems a lot for what it is.

The inner cross is available on its own
AT199702 £194.08 but there’s a vapormatic alternative VPJ4469 £129.90

Unfortunately it’s doesn’t give a part number for the outer crosses despite showing them as a separate part.

It could be worth pulling one out and seeing if your local bearing supplier can match them.

Retail for the complete shaft unit is over £1800!
