My JD 6215R is plagued by code PTA.001 1387.01 Lube oil pressure too low. Stop vehicle.

Any JD techs able to help please.

It’s had its 4WD unit resealed.

Seen this.. parklock chipped off and blew hardened steel into the tran oil. The trans pump was failing and blowing the lube pressure code.

Theres an address you can check the pressure in the display.

This is a serious code and i wouldnt be driving it until the fault code problem has been found.

Also i know of one other 215r that crapped the inner rear wheel bearings and did the same too the transmission pump. These can be measured with a dial gauge from the axle housing to the flange.

Seriously.. stop driving it before it breaks the ivt.

Oh and the resealed the 4wd clutch due to seeing the trans pressure drop when 4wd is turned off.
This is an indicator of a leak or a trans pump that cant keep up with the expected flow needed to
Engage the clutch pack.

Cheers for your reply.
We are parking it up ATM.

It comes on after about 20 miles on road.

Dealer Resealed 4WD clutch pack I assume he looked at oil & screen.

Oil was changed not long ago when the PTO was off as a circlip had popped off on the piece where you put the changeable stub In letting oil leak from the seal.

I Wonder if that was the start of this issue in some way.

Kind Regards.

Also know of a 6195R that knocked a park pawl tooth off, which was duly replaced but the missing tooth never found . Went back to work and the same day 4wd clutch packed up, stuck in 4wd with lube pressure fault codes.. They pulled the 4wd case and found some of the tooth, and damaged gears - the swarf of which had gone through the pump and buggered that, so yes, stop driving it now.

The pumps behind the trans driveshaft but there isnt really a lot of space to work from the sides like 30s or an inspection plate anymore so best to pull the cab off and pull off the big front cab support.
