JD RTK issue

Keep getting communication error between the steering wheel and 2630 box. Wiring is all good. Plugs good. Steering wheel is tight on the column. It’s random and can happen constantly or once a day. It also reboots the 2630 every time it occurs. Any ideas?

We've had a similar issue with the 1800 screen in our Bateman. Check the voltage the screen is receiving if it drops below 12V you will get a communication error. We ended up having a new wiring harness even though ours looks fine and this has solved the problem.

I know I had a lot of trouble with my atu being lazy and or cutting out if I went over a bump, I soldered the connectors on the 3 pin plug which solved my issues.

It's more than likely a power issues
How is it wired in direct to battery or
In a cigarette light plug

Also if it's a old style harness you may well have a problem with the wires about 6" back from the starfire plug were it gets corroded or break

I have had that problem too lose 3pin plug wire . And another problem some days it keeps cutting out the steering and telling me that I'm on the road. Any one had that before. Jd tech man said he knows what it is and needs to come out to fix it. But wouldn't help me fix it, I didn't want the bill so trying to sort it my self.

It’s not a cigarette lighter socket but it is a cab socket.

How can I tell if it’s the old harness? The system is 2012 from memory.
