JD SG2 Cab Electrics

My 2650 is doing some strange things with regards to the electrics. There seems to be an intermittent fault with the power to the roof electrics, particularly fan and radio but some times the lights are iffy as well. Is there an earth strap between the chassis and the cab? Or does the earth all run through the multi pin plug? I’m not sure if it’s related when all electrical items are on at once, then they sometimes die but blow no fuse, also you can often here the handbrake buzzer make a faint noise when you put your foot on the brake! Any help much appreciated

What’s the fuse board like these cause issues

Give the cab a new earth strap, using a jump lead just to test. Wiggle the clips to make sure of a good contact. Report back ......

The older SG2 cabs had serious issues as they were designed around 24 volt circuits and the wiring was too small, this resulted in heating and burning out of wires and terminals. However I thought this issue had been fixed by the 50 series. I would check the connector blocks under the steering column

Fuse board is new, I’ve tested the dash and resoldered a few dry joints.

The earth wire going through the main multi pin plug looks a bit on the small side to me.
I think I’ll add another earth from battery straight to earth block on steering column then to cab structure itself

It's the plug under the bonnet connecting to the cab, give it a good wiggle.... It might help [emoji848][emoji16]
