Had a couple of days on this old girl last week just to finish putting Barley in, think the bonnet is off a later model? 75/6 tractor. Duncan cab. IMG_1371.JPG IMG_1368.JPG IMG_1338.JPG IMG_1317.JPG

You got them with that bonnet and those halfshafts. Drove one myself. Same cab too.

The Duncan cab was a cheaper option than the OP cab, but not very many went for it. Quite rare in that configuration.

As above that’s rare bearing in mind how good the OPU was. Never liked Duncan Cabs that much but would be very happy to spend a day on yours reminiscing!

Would have been an mid term tractor probably came into UK without a cab. Early 30 series came with 20 series bonnet

Duncan was the dealer fit option . Opu was the first factory fit option .76 onwards.

I can just about recall my grandad having a 2130 on a P reg with that style bonnet and a Duncan cab.

Sekura .launched there first q cab in 1974 .

Not sure jd would have taken it that soon but could have .1976 was the catalyst for all q cabs in the uk

Roll over protection was from 1971 so duncan and the like was driven by this

Both my parents worked for Victor cabs .in the 70,s. It was all over by late 70, as cabs were made in house or sub contract such as gkn..

The OPU was a Thousand pounds more than the quiet Duncan on a 2030 in spring 1976.
    But worth every penny!

The Sekura S74 was a big step up on IH and DB as well as Deere.

It would have been far better if it was rear-hinged. It's bad enough having to clamber of the clutch pedal around the dash, without the door swinging back around because the grab handle is on it :stop:

Ah the memories☺. Worse thing for me was knocking forehead on the heater housing up on the cab roof everytime l went over a bump.
Still I regarded it as the height of luxury in 1980 as up to then I was in Ford 5000s and MF 178 etc

That is true, and the channels for the sliding rear windows filled with dust on early examples.
But, it was a credible first generation Quiet cab from a small Danish company and in many respects far better than the in-house first offerings from the mainline tractor manufacturers.
