JD6630 Hydraulic Failure

My JD6630 hydraulics have quit. I realised it was a bit low on oil tipping the trailer when it went to alarm mode and wouldnt move until I lowered the trailer. Having dropped the trailer I realised it still held 1/2 load of muck so I tried tipping it again and nothing, no power steering, no lift arms, no hydraulics at all! I have put 10L of hyguard in and still nothing. Is there some protection mechanism in action or has the low oil level caused something expensive to fail  Oil in sight guard is very frothy

Firstly let the bubbles settle out and recheck the oil level. It could be the oil is so frothy it won't pump.

I've never had any of ours give any bother and they've had the same treatment occasionally being caught out tipping a big trailer .
Normally just drop the arms to get enough oil to tip it and away they go again

If its a standard machine.

Removing the plug in the top of the hydraulic filter and starting the engine can help. Or loosening the pressure line that goes to the priority valve can also help.

Ive had a couple that steering wouldn't work on until the above process was done.
Thanks, I think I owe you a beer. Had changed the filters yesterday but was outside and quit refilling the oil when the heavens opens... finished topping up this morn and again machine would not run any hydraulics so came back to this thread.... loosened the plug on the top of the big hydraulic filter, needs to be done with engine running I found.. I thought the Allen key was going to break before the plug yielded but it did eventually, and that has sorted it (y)
