Very good machine in their day, 150hp on the drawbar and the right conditions they would give a Mex 6 a bloody nose.

Smash the outer with a hammer, make sure you have gloves and goggles on. Then grind the centre till you’re just about to the shaft and then split the last bit with a chisel

Three leg puller and then replace the seal housing and seal because you will damage it in the process

I always have tried to save the seal part as it costs more than the bearing and I have s/h one if needed but I have removed them with a puller with two legs and saved both.

Dealer is needing well over £200 for an 8 inch spring
