JF 900 blades

Non genuine blades are fine until you hit something, at which point they don’t shatter properly, they bend.

My favourites were always the lighter weight ones with the hole in, never had any hassle with bolts and plates breaking with those, but I don’t believe they’re available anymore.

Buy genuine. Am big fan of tryin to save a few quid but when puttin bits on high pressure machines or into the guts of tractors/machines its always betr to go genuine

Sorry to high jack this thread but how many blades are people running I’m on 3/4 of a set and customers looking for longer silage so thinking of going to half set will I loose much output?

Think I'll take everyone's advice and go genuine. Think it would be the original blades in her and have never broken one yet.
Next question. Manual says to tighten up the bolts with a torque wrench which I don't have. Will two feet of pipe do the job? Thanks

Maybe I’ve got this wrong but half a set of blades/longer silage means you’re only having to apply half the number of cuts to the grass so only need half the power to drive the drum, assuming the longer grass blows as well as short grass, then output should go up?

Lost no blow with our set up. Make sure they are set right and haven't noticed more power needed but we have 160 on a 900.

There should be a spanner at he rear tool bax but if not we normally use the 3/4 sockets and pipe

Make sure u set them right

We use an inch air gun then T bar with pipe to check but as said they need checked against shear bar before you tighten them up

I heard of people setting the rotor back far and extended the half set of blades out far to the shear bar to create more blow

Will you help clear snow?
