As did labour, the UK and to be fair many other countries have a bunch of self serving idiots for politicians, not sure how we change things

Criminals form gangs .. Politicians form parties.

Really it starts with us all admitting that we can do better than Politicians and actually doing something about it.

BUT it will also require that we put our sons, daughters, wives, relations and friends into positions of power where we can all work together towards the same end.
AND when there there must be no infighting, no vendetters, no back biting .. it will require unity from within and disputes to be rectified internally.

IMHO this has already been done by many vested interests. IMHO this is one of the reasons we have so much illegal immigration.

Quite right. When the time comes many folk will have change their minds. I’m not convinced about a Tory majority.

I think the polls will have a huge effect on the outcome.
I'm sure that in the last election, many people assumed the tories were heading for a big majority so they didn't worry about voting, could gesture vote for someone else or simply vote against to reduce the majority. Large majority's make governing easier rather than better.
The same could happen again.
I rather think that Tory HQ are hoping for polls to look tight and sharpen peoples minds to the possible outcomes.

Agree that big majorities make governing easier but not necessarily better as witnessed by the last 12 plus months. What a stare of affairs. Tories still at war, Labour what do they stand for? LD’s are missing the point about democracy and the SNP only wanting power and a separate Scotland. I think devolution was a bad thing but bought about by Westminster not governing for all years ago! And how big is the British Isles???? We are tiny and still can’t organise a p**** up in a brewery!

We can import people to run the NHS so how about advertising overseas for a suitable Prime Minister?
Oh! Nearly forgot, we had one already: J.C. Juncker.

The thing is in a fortnight or so ,if boris a majority of any sort ,there will be no waring tories as all prospective mps have had to sign up to brexit ,deal or no deal.the waring factions will be no more ,thru standing down and unelected

Imho, doesn't matter who the LD leader is, our electoral system will never favour a third party. So most voters will default to HMG or the official opposition.
But that's a debate for another time - possibly as from Friday 13th Dec!

To be honest I think we have never had more unselfish leaders, they seem to be extremely liberal and nowhere near as money motivated or corrupt as past leaders.

The media have little influence and get found d out if they lie. The younger generations have different priorities so change was inevitable.
