Is that a difficult job to do. I have a 96 bought used years ago but don't know if that was ever done. Also is there wear on the end of that shaft or is that normal. Sorry for all the questions.

Pretty easy. Just basic spanner work. Don't think the shaft is worn. iirc that spigot just locates in a nylon bush in the flywheel.
