I watched a bit more of the Inauguration last night. The bit where the beast takes Joe to the entrance of the White House grounds.
Goodness me it’s like something out of North Korea.
National guard every few yards.
people running with the car, fences all around DC.
Reminded me of North Korea.

What a difference a year makes. We walked those streets on holiday just 12 months ago.

Perhaps what you see now is what Trump and his supporters have created.

I suspose nothing had happened to the seat of power to threaten democracy in the weeks previous.. They were all just there for a picnic.

He's no more or less coherent than Trump ever was. George Dubya was also fluent in gibberish at times.

American politics continues to confound me:

There are 250 million Americans to choose from and they let Trump buy his way to the White House?

Why the obsession for choosing presidential candidates who are much older than the average European leader?

Or ............ because the election was fraudulent they need protection that previously wasn’t required under the previous president.
The world is still waiting for the “truth bombs”. That Trump and his followers promised. Oh wasn’t there something about a “Kraken” also being unleashed? That seems to still be somewhat mythical as well.

I used to respect you Lee, as an honest intelligent commentator and operator on the agricultural scene. Sometimes one can easily misread things on the worlds stage, but to carry on with these grossly misguided comments surprises me. Of course there will always be a small amount of fraud in any election, but in this one, the only genuine case that has been presented to the courts involves a solitary Trump supporter using the votes of his dead parents.
I do wonder if your account has been hacked by one of the loonier members on here, who has obviously been affected by poor education or isolation in the remoter parts of the country.
I am no fan of Biden but it is quite obvious the man won fair and square, and that is democracy.

There’s a surprise!
I first joined a farming forum in January 2007, within the first week I was convinced that “this Lee” must be a 12 year old with a sense of mischief.
🤷‍♂️
Although i did meet him somewhere selling German trailers, he seemed kind of normal In the flesh, so this is maybe an online persona ?

Thinking back he did have his moments , but he has obviously got into the Qanon in a big way.
I wonder if he is of a certain persuasion as my cousins that way inclined used to be quite sensible but now appear as mad as sack of frogs. ;)
