John deere 2058

Just took the concave out of our 2058 and it's in 2 halves with a space of about 2inches between the top and bottom halves anyone know what this is space is for cheers

De-awning plates perhaps ??
De awning plates was what I thought but then would they not need to be closer to the front of the concave

Don’t think my 2054 looks like that, I will check when I’m next there. Quite a bend in it this end....
I've never come across one like it either! I'm replacing it anyway it was something fairly hard to bend the bars that's for sure
It was before she came to us

The top part bolts onto the bottom we had to split them to get it out just didnt get them back together for the photo both parts are all on the same arc when they are bolted together.
