john deere 3050 seat ?

we have a jd 3050 we keep it mainly as a spare tractor for the busy times but of late I have driven it quite a bit as my nephew has taken to driving my more modern valtra . anyway I have been left with quite a bit of pain in my right hip and lower back and I suspect the seat in the old girl is to blame so I am wondering what to do ? the main dealer says new replacement seat pads are not made any more so a new seat is the next step so I am asking where do you go ? thanks from Richard .

You can get seat pads of eBay that will fit, just there black not brown. Think there £90 a pair.

Hello Richard, I have a pair that will fit. They are plain brown and were specially made by the tractors previous owner. I didn’t really like them so I bought a new set of pads with the more modern striped upholstery.

They fit with the little snap ring things so should go straight into your tractor as long as the seat is the original Grammer type.

You can have them if they’re any use, no charge. They are clean and straight in every way, it’s just I didn’t like them. ?

Can’t see why the dealer can’t get new ones, they must be a common part.

thanks for the offer Pete but I have ended up ordering the whole new seat as she who must spoke to her brother (the reverend) who knows of such things and he said at 30 odd years old it might be time for a new one :scratchhead:
