John Deere 3200 water pump issues

Having issues getting water to the heater only circulating when it’s at 1500 revs or over starting to think the water pump could be worn? Seems to be keeping the engine cool ok.

As above, it could be the water pump but as a rule of thumb the pump usually just fails rather than giving poor flow. It is worth checking though if you think there’s a problem with it.

I have known the heater matrix (in the roof) to block up on the 3200’s. It’s also worth checking the heater valve (under the seat) is opening and closing correctly as this can also fail.

Yip the heater matrix is all corroded and blocked up. Had the valve off and checked. There was a hose kinked a bit in the roof where it went to matrix thought that could be the problem but a new bit of hose on and it still needs half revs to pump the water upto that height. I’m guessing that it should be able to pump up there and circulate the water at Rickover no problem?

It may struggle at tickover, especially if the matrix is half blocked. The water pump is designed for flow no pressure.
