In this week's Farmers Weekly Startin Tractiors have what they describe as a ~ John Deere 4055 SG2 Hy.lift superb one owner tractor, I rang as soon as i saw the advert and inquired, the hours if i remember correctly were 7750, and the price, THE PRICE a whopping £24,000,

Now I had a figure of £15/16,000 in my mind knowing that Startin Tractors are certainly not cheap, the price they are talking would buy you a very nice example of a 47/4955

Am I wrong here or is their price ridiculous ?

EDIT just checked on line hours are 7796

To be fair the bloke on the end of the phone sounded as if he wasn't with it although I had asked for sales Dept when I spoke to reception, is it possible he gave me the list price for the JD 7810 instead ? maybe I should phone back tomorrow to clarify ?

More than likely the price they want there stock can hang around for years because of the price and never drop even when aged a couple of years
