Got a jd 6330 standard and 4wd has gone off , both switch and brake pedal don’t work .Panel behind seat say diff lock and pto are on same fuse but they both work fine . Seems to be electrical but thought I’d put it on here to see if I can get some pointers as to where to look. Thanks

Now Then..
I assume you're stuck in 4WD?? Have you checked the two fuses marked BCU with a brake symbol on, one's a 10A, the other is a 20A..
Keep in touch..

Has that the other day. Accelerated at a rate of knots downhill with a forager and trailer!!! Managed to keep it all straight and thought either I’d knocked it out or some sh1tbag had hopped in the cab and turned it off.

The bulb on the side console had failed, fking dangerous if you ask me,

I’m looking for advice on 6330 front axle last week the yoke end driving rh hub broke up and ended up having to buy complete shaft I see other side getting loose now as well. Anywhere selling them at reasonable money?? It’s 730 axle

If you do stock order, make sure it’s in the uk at langer first. If it has to come from America it’ll be weeks, a tiny little pipe for my 4755 was ordered for next day. It had to come from America and was 10 days, stock order I might have seen it in August.

Yeah In the words of Del Boy what a plonker I am ,bulb gone on dashboard just couldn’t tell it was in on the wet grass Thanks for all suggestions though
Well FMP!!! Nothing much should surprise me anymore but you've managed it. :woot:

Here is a picture of me holding the dash panel of my 5445 on the 15th June, the day after the bulb blew. Yes, of course not knowing whether the tractor is in 4wd or not is dangerous, hence the immediate repair. First thing I did when the bulb blew was to test whether four wheel drive actually worked or not. It did, hence blown bulb diagnosis and swap from a non-utilised bulb further up the row.

For those interested in this kind of thing, and what normal person wouldn't be, it's notable that L27 and L28 are not fitted with bulb holders. This is because this tractor has the poverty-pack and therefore lacks the speedometer and PTO speed displays in the front that higher spec ones have. Hence the two blanked rectangular windows in the front of the dash, as seen below.

6330 will be Mannheim built so shouldn’t need to cross the big pond:) Popping John parts are readily available off the shelf from the states. That’s one of the best attributes of being a John Deere owner, even for 1940s tractors.(y)
