John Deere 5100M spool valve lever adjustment

Wondering if anyone can help. I have a JD 5100M and middle of three spool valve levers in the cab appears to be out of adjustment. When the lever is in neutral it is sitting forward of where it should be and although it can be pushed further forward to ‘retract’ but cannot be pushed any further forward to go into ‘float’. This is I’m guessing because the remote cable at end of lever has got out of adjustment possibly? How do I go about adjusting it if possible. Is any adjuster under the lever in the cab and it appears a section surrounding the levers lifts up. It has small holes around its edge? How is it undone to lift up. I can’t see any adjustment on the spool block on rear of tractor. It’s only the middle lever of the three that seems to have got out of line. Thanks.

There's a small amount of adjustment at the lever end of the cable. It has a yoke on the end and a 6mm nut to lock it in place. I usually remove the side of the console for access. If you really want the bezel off from around the levers, a small screwdriver (or welding rod) in each hole as a lever will do it..
It's rare for the cable to require adjustment though..

Yes could probably go in from the side. The lever is a fair way out of adjustment as it sits in neutral where it should be when in retract and the lever then can’t go far enough forward, as at end of lever slot stops it going into float. No idea when this happened and seems to have crept up on me. I take a look tomorrow. Thanks.

On the 5100M the side looks a whole lot more involved to remove. Easier to take the panel surrounding the levers. I took the top off and the lever adjuster had been loose and screwed in shortening the cable. Unscrewed the adjuster until lever was back inline. There are a couple of 11mm lock nuts top and bottom. Top one tightened up but thicker bottom one must have a problem with the threads as although stiff to start with freed up a little but would not move up along the threads. Tried a small screw driver to try and push it along as it was turned but no go. Guess it was cross threaded or something at the factory. Hadn’t time to mess today. Top lock nut seemed to stop the adjuster moving so should be ok. All sorted now thanks.
