John Deere 6230 Premium

We have a 6230P that when you try to indicate the indicator won’t stay on, it seems that it is whenever the steering wheel is in a specific position as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Any ideas?

I've got a 6430P and mine does that, I wonder what it is.

It’s the self cancelling indicators, they’re a pain in the ass!
You can do away with the self cancel by remove the steering wheel and popping the top cover up, there’s then a plastic cup with 3 pegs that sits over the steering column.
Think there’s a circlip holding it on, you just lift it off and snip the pegs off it makes it manual. Then rebuild.

You can't with a Standard model I don't believe.

You’ll need someone with the service advisor software to connect to the tractor and do the calibration.
Also if it’s not had the transmission oil change in the last 1500h it’s worth doing so before you go to the trouble of paying someone to do a calibration as the oil can go off over a period of time.
