John Deere 6330 - 20 000 hours

Just wondering out loud. Would it be advisable purchasing one of these tractors with such high hours? There is 3 of them with hours between 15 000 and 20 000. They came from a large dairy where they were mostly, if not exclusively, used on feed wagons. Premium cabs if it makes a difference. Would really like one for a loader tractor but finances wouldn't allow it right now.

Id say go for it after you find out the Service history. They have a strong driveline so as long as the oils been changed they will be fine.
Those hours would only be tractor running hours rather than hours at a specific RPM would they not?
I know a dealer that sold a 6505 with 20,000 odd hours, who said "Thats only like 10,000 hours on an older tractor!"

how do you mean?

Not on older tractors where the hour clock/rev counter was directly driven off the engine
Tractors like the 6505, a tractor hour is electronic clock hour where as older tractors with gear/cable driven hourmetre will be hours at a fixed rpm , like 1800 rpm, so an hour is an hour , but not all hours are equal.:LOL:

And I remember talking to a guy who use to say when forage harvesting with a Massey 165 it use to clock 14 hour's in 12 hours of usage but when ticking over for 12 hours it would more than likely clock 5 hours
