John Deere 6820 spool valve problem

My JD 6820 is squirting out transmission oil through the nipple on deluxe hydraulic coupling when pressurised. Thought it was the coupling so changed for new one but made no difference.
Any advice please.

Now Then..
Change the other coupling..
You'll have noticed that the drain lines are connected. If oil squirts out when the SCV lever is forward, it's the bottom Coupler at fault. If the lever is back, then it's the top one..

Strange.
If you pull the dust protection housings off and the return hoses from the front of the SCV couplings, look which set are leaking. Replace them as a vertical pair. The design has changed again and the length is different..

The front drain lines are part of the feature that allows connecting / disconnecting with pressure. The rear ones simply direct waste oil to a receptacle for disposal.
Change them for simple female connectors if you like.. Plug the oil line that goes to the oil filler

Great advice, my 6820 started doing the same thing today when you pull back in the lever the oil under pressure blows the drain hose off.
what do the two black taps do in the top of the valve and what do the two green smaller tapes do on front of of them?
I will order new couplings tomorrow and try fitting them tomorrow.
great little chat site you all have going.

RTFM? 🤷🏼‍♂️ or is it missing? Green is flow, black whether they stay open or close automatically
