John deere 8r tractors

hi john is the ivt autopower, its the only option (or was) on the 8360r. generally its a v good box to be fair, easy to set and responsive etc but i wander if too much power is being put through them now possibly? i believe there are some updates / upgrades being made as mine isnt the first evidently? if you are buying new definitly go with the extra full warranty, we did & worth every penny!! cheers dh.

Does nobody see anything wrong with this? The largest global manufacturer of agricultural machinery produces a tractor which fails with a well known fault and the only option is to pay another 5% for an extended warranty to cover the impending (known) fault ?? Seriously?

We are not high hour users and the warranty seems very expensive when they to to see the tractor once a year as well. Best part of 15k wondering wether to keep it in the back.

I know of no issues with the 8r transmission here. Machines are over 3000hr mark. There is a pip on certain serial numbers for a trans pump update. Thats pretty much all the trouble Ive seen.

8530... You would do well to replace the trans pumps after 2000hrs.
