Just learnt that Bell Agricultural have lost the JD franchise. 100 mile round trip for spares wont be fun especially with operation stack on the M20.

Probably be Burdens but have not heard anything yet. It seems wrong to lose your franchise just because you only have one depot.
happened a dealer in ireland about 2 years ago or was going to happen they told him get another depot or we will dump you , so he sold to the jd man in the next countyand stayed as manager , he is happy now no more long nights no having to open sundays for a guy that brakes down

A big jd dealer covering a big part of Ireland who sold 1600 new JD tractors got a letter hand delivered telling him he had lost the agency , jd are doing a great job f.cking themselves up , another good dealer lost jd , NH were on to him quickly and now he is very happy selling blue tractors to all his jd customers.

Agco has been doing the same. Sacking family firms and putting in big set ups

Bloody clueless, they can all get spares next day, so what's the point?

From what I've heard, deere's want bigger but less dealers, bell's can still look after existing tractors but not sell new deere's and they have to go through another dealer to get the parts. Heard a rumour several weeks ago of bell's becoming a deutz dealer but don't know how much truth there is with that.
