John Deere forward & reverse problem

I have A John Deere 6330 and have an intermittent fault with the reversing shuttle always goes into forward but not reverse. It’s an annoying problem because when it’s warm it seems to be better. Sometimes you can drive up a bank let it roll back then put into reverse it connects. Any ideas. ?

Mine are all still operated by cable, but as the shuttle lever has to be in neutral to start, and you aren't getting engine cut out, I would assume it's electrical to the shuttle solenoid, or possibly like mine was , one of the springs which push the shuttle valve back and forth (centralise) has broken up or is about to and is jamming, my tractors are older than yours but the forward / reverse valve is under a plate on bottom of gear box, so not a major whole tractor apart job. however might be better ask someone who really knows.
