Hi, advice required about John deere loaders, in the process of purchasing an 11 plate john deere that has the loader brackets, joystick and the fancy multi dock thing for the loader,
Question us what model of loader would suit this tractor ?

Sorry it's a 6430, I was searching and a 633 loader seems to be the normal sort of pairing, the reason is when we looked at the tractor the fella mentioned he knew of a loader that would fit I haven't seen it yet but he said it is a 631 loader of 03/04, and I'm not sure about it

BTW I would prefer a quicke but beggers can't be choosers

JD 631 loader will fit. Got one fitted to a 6330 premium. Local dealer swapped the loader over when the 6420S was traded in.

We got some bother with the rams that tilt the headstock - oil leaking out of the breather hole at the top of the ram. Apart from that it has been good.

That's good to know thank you. Would any body know of £4500 for an 03 ish 631 is value or not ?

Had a 633 loader from new, no problems, strong enough, done and does a good amount of contract bale stacking, no wear at all on it. Its 8 years old too.

Excellent news thanks, I haven't got much loader experience but I like the JD joystick with the power quad buttons built into it seems handy, I was looking for 633 loaders on tinterweb last night and found an 09 model for £4650

The JD joystick is better than all the others, but the actual loaders are rubbish, still no replaceable bushes! Ok if you grease it religiously I suppose but there are much better loaders from Quicke ,Stoll and MX.4.5k for an 8 year old JD loader is ridiculous.

I had a feeling it was too much and thank you for the confirmation.
So you can't replace a bushing! What do you do if there is wear in the pins then ?

Also would it be possible to control a quicke loader with the JD joystick ?

If I recall - Somewhere between 631 and 633 John deere changed the bracket that attaches the loader to the tractor.I have a 651 and the brackets are fabricated from mild steel.Aren't the newer brackets cast/forged ?
