John Deere Turbo actuator

Anybody out there have a dead turbo with a good actuator.
We have a low houred Claas 620 with the actuator leaking coolant.
Turbo is in good condition but after pricing a new actuator add a couple of hundred quid could have a reman turbo. Would willingly pay for a good actuator if you have one chucked under the bench
Or is it possible to strip the actuator

Had a new actuator on my JCB 320s which looks just like the one on my JD6145R. Cost me just over a grand. Tried to get it repaired but found no one to do it.

I’d you can’t get one via JD or Claas, try an independent turbo specialist like Midland Turbo.

Could you not blank off the coolant pipes going to it?

All our 6140r and 6150r have been blanked and the 6155r come from the factory blanked.

Remind me, why is it cooled?

The only way to get the first 2 replacement actuators on my JD 6190R was to get a reman turbo! JD sell the actuators by themselves now. I'm on my 5th in 5 years/6300 hours.

It wont last long with no coolant going to it, or so you would think

It was an official JD mod and as said above the 6155's aren't cooled so JD obviously think it's no longer necessary

Midland turbo say they can repair them according to thier Facebook page,

When I had one pack up 4 years ago I got one from the states for 240 dollars. It was brand new. Unfortunately the firm don't seem to exist anymore.
