He makes a good case ,,seen plenty in these cash for goods type shops ,,the only thing they ask for is your name and address and anybody could make up both of them .
Im on a arb site on FB and the admin have changed the way tools are sold ,,now they approve the advert or not first ,if they think its dodgy the seller is removed from the site and blocked ,,so many iffy folks were trying to sell high end machinery that everybody suspected was hooky
Yep, this kind of shop, eBay and car boot sales make it very easy for thieves. Nobody could care less, police included. Should all be more tightly regulated IMO.
