Jumping Text/cursor

Keep getting a problem when typing, if I pause the cursor jumps back to an earlier place in the type, if you dont notice it and carry on typing it is annoying when you notice what has happened, and you have to start again.
Happens on here/twitter any where really, it also happens on Landymans tablet. So not restricted to my Laptop.

Any ideas, it is doing my head in.

An earlier position as in anywhere within a word you already typed and not just to the end of a word?

Which browser are you using?

Lastly it's not a touch screen is it?

yes, anywhere within a word already typed, my laptop not touch screen & using chrome on win 8
Landyman touch screen samsung, but also chrome

Mine jumps back to the middle of previous text, especially if I type 'it' or use an apostrophe. It will keep doing it unless you put 2 spaces and set off again :(

Glad it happens to someone else, if you know what I mean, its driving me nuts, happening more and more, but have not seen a pattern to it, did thing it used to happen if I inserted emoticons :( but it doesn't always do that either.

dgrearg regerg wefgerwg frgh it it's a in is

I use Chrome too and typed the above and sat for 5mins and not a budge :(

OK just to rule some things out (like keyboard) it's find in Word/Excel etc and just Chrome.

Do you use a mouse or is it the built in track pad thingy?

OK, what Chrome plug ins are you using?
Settings Block in the top right -> Tools -> Extensions?

Found similar when using more than one emoticon on right hand side of page. If typed together the second one would drop down to the next line, if you left a gap the second one would stay in correct place, again intermittent. I assumed it was admin telling me not to be so generous with the smillies:censored::D:D

Same plug ins as me... annoyingly I cannot recreate it and I've made one or two posts so I'd would have thought I'd have seen it by now too.
It could be a faulty touch pad on the laptop, a bug in the forum s/w (@admin) or a bug in the browser introduced with an update as it's the browser that renders the text boxes. The fact it's happening with landypandy ;) I'd say the faulty laptop pad is least likely.

Try a different browser to prove if it's Chrome.

Not wishing to sound like a doctor, but, can you cough? (joke) No, what I want ask is how long have you had these symptoms? - as it may coincide with an upgrade here that only the inner sanctum boffs will know about.

No it has happened with both this LT and old one, that was on win 7 with chrome, and has happened with Petes Tab since new too.

I have just tried to write a pm and had to do it 4 times each time I wrote itunes it did it, but now writing this it will not recreate it:banghead: I tried to use snipping tool to show you but interestingly when I did that it moved the cursor back to the correct place, ie end of the txt
