I for one love the drama.

But I would also like to point out that the wife of a future head of state has gone missing and it's unfair to expect the British public not to take an interest in a person who, however much I dislike it, is a component part of their system of government.

But perhaps I'm being unfair, and she has a really great personality, or is good at jigsaw puzzles...

As an aside, and purely from memory (which may well be mistaken) because it was not my field, but I seem to remember from law-school that some pretty old laws are (or were then) still extant and that they throw down some pretty harsh punishments for traducing the Crown or its Heir... enter the codling-grinder...?
