By the look of it across the country Kev's been doing a roaring trade on those pot-holes. Every road seems to have one now - nearly as common as the cats eyes! I wouldn't worry too much about them filling a few in here and there - the night gangs seem to be installing them at a greater rate than they are filling them in.

We send folk out to wash the cats eyes regularly
And switch them off in the morning.

Ken dodd had joke about cats eyes, but can't find a clip of it, something along the lines of the designer thinking of them when a cat looked at him whilst driving home one night, but if the cat would of walked away from him, he'd of designed the pencil sharpener.
