Kia Sorrento drop links

Has anyone changed the drop links on any of their vehicles ( short stubby links to anti roll bar behind suspension connected to front axle) and if so do you need to jack up and take wheel off? I can do mine with wheel on I have enough access but I'm wondering if there will be too much pressure to remove or replace

I have a landcruiser and it’s easier remove the front wheels; to swap the front ones; but the rear, it’s not essential , but I prefer to for ease of access.
I’m disappointed with various spurious drop links which only seem to be lasting 6 months.

That senders my question then, I haven't done them before so I was worried would be a lot of pressure on them if I changed without taking wheel off and I'd never get them back in place!
I'm hoping it won't be something I have to do to often this is more of family car than workhorse so dosent get abused as much as the ranger which is my daily drive, although the wife does tend to be a bit of a wrecker when it comes to vehicles ,?

They are really only under any pressure (it's not that much pressure anyway) in a "roll" situation, this can be made worse by jacking one side up, as long as you get both wheels off the ground it's a fairly straightforward job

Oh ok

Ok ok so the weight of the wheel won't put added pressure on then I thought that's why most people removed wheel but guess more for access than anything else

No the wheel weight doesn't make any difference, just remove the wheel for more room, not sure what the kia drop links are like, some can be held with a spanner, to stop the pin turning, others have a small allen key in the end of the pin, this type can be a bit of a pain to remove if corroded, so the extra room with wheel off helps

Wire brush the threads and lube em up. If they're tight you can grab the ball with vice grips to get them off. A buzz gun is a big help, whips em off real quick.
