Who's got one of this pliers? Are they as good as people say they are? Some have an sb after the model what does that mean? Thanks for the help.

I keep those knipex wrenches in all tractors and in two different sizes. They are brilliant and a very versatile tool to have in a tractor toolbox. Wouldn’t be without mine. Also have a pair of Knipex Cobra pliers in each tractor.

I found the short handled wire cutters hard to use on HT wire a lot tbh. Despite the brand name.
I prefer bit longer handled bolt type bug wie cutters. Big more leverage even if it us two handed job..(y)

I googled them and Screwfix wanted £84 for them. I expect more than a pair of pliers in my toolkit for that money. I be wanting a big hammer and a set of stillys at the very least.

For HT wire cutters you need a pair of these. I carry a set in my Tractor tool kit, has got me out of trouble many times. Kniowx equipment is top quality ?

The sb seems to be a newer model.
I think the 250 is the length.

I have a pair and think they are very good. Much better than the pump pliers for use on nuts as they are a lot less likely to damage the nut head. The jaws open/close parallel. Obviously a spanner is better overall, but for one tool covers all, these are good. There are two sizes iirc and I bought the larger ones. Don't know if that is the model number you have posted.

Ah yes! The old style version I have is pump pliers type. I hate it when anyone uses them on a bit and damages it. Worst offender uses them to tighten Plasson water fittings - hate seeing teeth marks left!

Trouble I've found with mine is that the Open & Close measurement for the jaws is too small e.g. if you want to grip a 1" nut & then a 3/4" nut then it won't do both on the same setting.
Also they can be a bit fiddly to adjust
At around £50 I wouldn't buy another one (this one was a Christmas Pressie)
