One of the knotters is pulling the knot out , presumably because of short tails , is there an adjustment or is the knife arm too close to the billhook .

Is it pulling the knot apart after it’s made the knot and ejected the bale (bursting) or is it leaving a knot in one end of the string and not the other?

Baler/size is also helpful
Thanks.

Yes , hesston 4600 4 string 80 x 50 .
I’m no to familiar with the hesston machine. But I’d check twine tension, could be worth increasing the tension on the twine retainer a little in case it’s pulling through as it’s tying the knot.
I always have knots bursting due to not enough weight in the bale also, and ive also had trouble with the density sensor telling me to put to much material in one side of the bale in the past.

Any pictures of the broken knot?
