Hello, hope everyone is well!

I’m having some trouble with my 161-2 digger. The pump has started making a squealing noise, hydraulic oil is milky with air bubbles and weak hydraulics on the machine. I’m not very clued up with hydraulics, any ideas what the problem might be?? Thanks

Cavitation....Is there definitely enough oil in it?
There should be a large rubber hose coming from the back side of the oil tank. Possibly changes to a steel pipe and back to rubber.Check the clamps on it are tight and on back to the pump. This hose runs from the internal suction filter in the tank.

Just checked over the pipes. The one off the back of the tank was fine but the large pipe on the backside of the pump was covered in oil, I tightened the jubilee clips up, so far it’s much better! Oil has barely any air in, I guess if it can let oil out it can let air back in. Hopefully that sorts it, thanks very much. I wish all repairs were that easy and cheap!!

Might be worth cleaning or replacing the tank suction filter.

More problems with this machine, thought I’d drag this back rather than start another thread. Using the machine today and the slew and blade started fading out and now no movement at all, all other hydraulics work fine. It’s done this before but seems to start working again after a while but this time it hasn’t. Any hydraulic wizards know the answer?? Thanks
