I am trying to remove the triple hydraulic pumps from a KX 151. I have removed hoses and taken out the 4 securing screws. Should it just slide out off the splines ?? or do i need to remove bellhousing ?
Not 100 per cent sure but think there's a coupling inside the bell housing. Hope this helpsI am trying to remove the triple hydraulic pumps from a KX 151. I have removed hoses and taken out the 4 securing screws. Should it just slide out off the splines ?? or do i need to remove bellhousing ?
So i guess i need to remove the bellhousing ?Not 100 per cent sure but think there's a coupling inside the bell housing. Hope this helps
they do but what I mean is that if the pump shaft goes through bellhousing and is secured to the coupling which in turn is secured to the crank the you won't be able to move the bellhousing anywhere without doing something to the couplingSome of the bigger excavators have a rubber/ nylon coupling as a damper in the bell housing.
Thanks, i will have another look in the morning. Is the KX 121 a 2 piece bellhousing ?Not sure about the kx151 but the kx121 comes of without the bell housing removed! If you look there may be a hole in th bell housing to get at it bolts that hold on the pump drive!

Ok, that is what i was thinking, maybe splines burred over. I am at point of making some kind of puller to pull it off. This one has 3 small gear pumps, and i don't think the pumps have been off before. Not sure from memory! It has a piston pump, I think you ll find the spines are just tight!
Call me 01234 708576 Ask for IanHy there.Have the same problem with the gearpump at KX151.Called whitehouse just for seals(we found leaking on gear by a tiny broken seal),unavailable(just remanufacture them by the model). We are desperate being stuck on a ditch. Is any chance to buy your old pump for getting one seal off,Fuzzy, please?
Did you remove the belhousing to get the pump out? I am trying to remove mine also but it just moves 1 millimeter...Yes it was xxxxucking tight on the splines and now sits on the workshop bench. Pump are well worn. New triple pump on it's way from Whitehouse products. Thanks for your help
