6 rotor tedder has broken down. could hear the gears in 1 of the rotors making a bit noise so stopped to inspect. end rotor feels like thers something gone inside. can feel it jump a tooth or maybe thers a roll pin inside that's broke. just wondered if anybody has had 1 to bits, could use some help. got the roll pin that holds the wheel on under the rotor but nothing else willing to move, what do I do next?

well ive managed to get to the root of the problem and all it turned out to be was a broken circlip up inside that holds everything in place. it had let things drop down inside and crown wheel was just tickling the pinion gear to turn it, good job I stopped when I did as no damage done, cheap fix and only had to go to the local smiddy to give the wheel bracket some heat to get it off the shaft to let us get into the thing. The crown wheel and pinion gears are chunky so no worries for the future about them wearing out. jobs a goodun

Just had ours in bits, a broken roll pin allowed the wheel to ride up and jam the outside rotor.
That in turn stripped 2 teeth off the next rotor and also broke the roll pin in the drive to that rotor, £200 for the crown wheel and a few broken tines to swap and arms to straighten.
Did reposition things and used it as a 5 rotor for a day while waiting for parts .
