Kverneland lm 85

We have a 5 furrow em and 5 furrow lm. They are fixed width so non vari width (not even manually) ours are both set at 14” with the lm on slated boards.

seem a good strong plough, downside is they don’t have any adjustment to get them to pull straight so you have to make sure your wheel track widths are set right. Which seems a tad old fashioned’ lm came with a manual adjuster for front furrow width but bought an off the shelf ram and pipe work to make it hydraulic adjustable which is handy.

You wouldn’t want a 5 furrow on a 6430 I wouldn’t think, better suited to a 4 furrow.

An LM will be a fairly light plough in comparison to a es eg and I've had my eg 100 5 furrow on our 6430 and it was kinda on it's limit lifting it but pulls it fine. A 6430 is a very underrated tractor

Quite a light plough because nothing much is adjustable. I've had E resets and vari width but the LM beats them all for long life and easy ploughing. 6430 will easily handle 5 furrows so long as it's not too steep, I used to pull a 5F reset with the 6430 on more level land. We use a 4 cyl 130 hp and the plough is a doddle to pull, easy to set up and with few moving parts so will last a lifetime. Best plough I ever owned....it'll see me out(y)
