We're running a small survey at KWS to try and better understand farmers thoughts on open days and in particular virtual events..
It's a 2 part survey, one short one now and another in August. We're giving away 2 DJI drones too as prizes!

If you are interested in taking part, you can take the survey here:

"Building the necessary knowledge to help growers meet the demands of more sustainable production in the future is one of our industry’s biggest challenges.

Equally important is the effective communication of this across all stakeholders in the agri-food supply chain, with frontline producers one of the most important priorities for this.

Coronavirus has shaken up all the traditional knowledge transfer routes with national events cancelled, open days postponed and one-to-one on-farm meetings a thing of the past - at least for now.

With the views and needs of our customers very much at our heart, KWS would like to take five minutes of your time to understand what you think are the most important communication routes for the future and learn what is most important to you.

This will be a two-stage survey, looking at your views before the summer of virtual events takes place and then again at the start of August to find out what your thoughts on their role in the future are.

There are five simple questions now and these will be followed up in August with another five.

We really appreciate your involvement and remember, there’ll be a DJI drone waiting for a lucky participant from each survey. Thank you."

Done.

I've participated in several virtual field days already. It makes me wonder why I spent all those hours travelling to stand in a field. Oh, it was the face to face interaction, tea & biscuits and looking out of the car window on the way there! :)
