a bunch of store lambs got delivered to me 3 weeks ago and 1 of them was 99% blind. He follows the rest of the bunch by sound mainly and looses his way a lot of the time however he won’t walk into a wall or anything. he would walk rite up to it and then just stop walking and look straight into it for prolonged periods.
I separated him out the next day to get him to start eating a little meal as I’ll be putting him in a small pen until he’s fit to go. He never started eating the meal but I did notice that his eyesight got better after a week or so. He can now see things a good bit better but wouldn’t be fully rite either. I wouldn’t mix him back with the bunch for the winter as grazing turnips with electric strip wires definitely wouldn’t be an option.
Would it be mineral deficiency or the stress of travelling a long distance here or something else perhaps
