Lamb swollen umbilical cord

Born like this, half expected it to shrivel up and get absorbed but 2 days on is still like this;

Sometimes it’s guts and then it’s fudgeed. Sometimes it’s just a thick fed and usually fine I just tie off with a bit of cat gut

Even if it’s guts, you can usually poke them back up if they haven’t come out through the navel cord. I would then tie it off near the belly with a short strand plucked from some baler twine.

I’d do that anyway, even if the guts aren’t starting to come out.
