Lambed about 300 ewes through the shed so far and everything had been going fine.
Last week had 3 singles lamb and the 3 are pretty flat at the moment.
The 3 do stretch when i get them up but eyes are pretty sunk
Just wondering if anyone had any ideas what it could be and any treatments?
The 3 were given antibiotics straight when i noticed they werent right.
Thanks

Dehydration makes sunken eyes, downward spiral after that as they get too weak to persist at sucking. I'd tube a belly full of milk with a little honey and possibly a touch of red bull and a pinch of baking soda. Then watch, if they suck the ewe strongly, all well. If not, try the same again with a bottle and take your time.
Some ewes are impatient and the lamb gives up trying to hang on, so they only get a wee bit instead of a good belly full. Doesn't take long for him to start getting weak.
