Blood test on sheep pre lambing all showed good levels in the ewes. But haven’t done lambs. Last year seemed to be better and lambs did pretty goodYou seem to have several threads every year about poor thriving sheep.
Are you sure you don't have a major parasite issue?
Or maybe some elements locked up or some serious deficiencies?
Not spread any hen muck, slurry or anything since July 2022 and that was just watered down lagoon stuffAre they grazing hen shite ground? Or pig shite?
Haven’t been short grass this spring as saved up from last Autumn and quite under stocked. Over half the sheep I have now are bought in ones in last 2 to 3 yearsHave you any grass? Lambs should be flying without creep in May.
Maybe get some new sheep
Have you tested your soil? Not spread any hen muck, slurry or anything since July 2022 and that was just watered down lagoon stuff
Got soil samples done in winter and they are abit high in P and K but ph over the most part is good still. Got grass samples done 4 or 5 years ago as part off a scheme but haven’t done so minceIf cobalt / copper is locked up in your pastures by for example a high level of molybdenum and or iron, then lambs will not thrive. It's called 'pine' - or starvation to you and me.
Get some soil / herbage samples, and match your animal's mineral intake to any deficiencies.
The wet weather has also made any herbage 'water on a stick'. so not enough dry matter being consumed either.
Yeah whole farm in January. p and k around 3 and 4 and most fields ph is 6 or aboveHave you tested your soil?

My results I don’t think give that level as a option in itWas it high in moly? Copper?
Haven’t don’t samples for minerals from ground. This was free test from river agency so was just basicsNot basic ph, P and K … but MINERALS.
My expectations probably are to high. But iv seen in past once lambs get to certain age they just stop. look great to a certain age then stopHow old and have you any photos? Are your expectations too high?
