Oh, she treats me with respect
She says she moves me all the time
She airlocks fifteen times a day
She likes to spew oil in a line
You know I've never met a MF
Who's made me feel quite so impure
Shes not like all them other toys
They're all so numb and demure

There's just one thing
That's getting in the way
When we go up to drain
You're just no good, it's such a shame
I look into my box of pies
I want water below you
And then you make this noise
And it's smoke and oil all over

It's not fair
And I think you're really a submarine
I think you're a submarine
I think you're a submarine
Oh, you're supposed to tear
But your engine only makes steam
Your engine pours steam
Oh, it's not fair
And it's really not okay
Your steering won’t obey
Your steering won’t obey
Oh, you're supposed to tear
But all you do is break
Yeah, all you do is break

Oh, I lie here in the wet patch
In the middle of the bog
I'm feeling pretty damn hard done by
I’ve carried oil jars for miles
Then I remember all the nice things
That you've dug out for me
Maybe I'm just overreacting
Maybe you're the digdig for me
There's just one thing
That's getting in the way
When we go up to drain
You're just no good, it's such a shame
I look into the box of pies
I want water below you
And then you make this noise

I think you're a submarine
I think you're a submarine
Oh, you're supposed to tear
But your engine only makes steam
Your engine pours steam
Oh it's not fair
And it's really not okay
Your rusty jib won’t obey
Your rusty jib won’t obey
Oh, you're supposed to tear
But all you do is break
Yeah, all you do is break
There's just one thing

I’ll not be making hay
I’ll not be making hay
Oh, you're supposed to tear
But all you do is break
Yeah, all you do is break

Nice.
How have you got on with it, is it laser controlled?
Very good ,first day out hit some rock and bent pto shaft as not proficient enough but once use to it ,it went well.We have a laser for it but that would only be a guide and not control the spools, I would just have to keep lights in zone, same as a light bar,the patch we did had sufficient slope and my brother kept checking fall with 4ft level strapped to a garden rake

Think this has been covered before ,but I have some land drainage to do and may struggle to get drainage stone on site ,are there any other options for backfill that will last other than stone , not done any test holes yet so unsure but it seems to be deep loamy topsoil over Clay for what I've been told ,top drain will be intercepting a lot of water from higher ground
Have used stone in schemes done 40 odd years ago.Adds hugely to cost and I’m not sue it’s worth the money to be quite honest.Have had problems in dry years of roots following backfill down to drain and choking them.Another problem ,particularly with trenchless draining is connecting existing drains to new scheme.Gravel backfill will hide problems until a spell of heavy rain then water will bubble up everywhere.
Better to use backactor digger at 10m and backfill when dry and forget about gravel.

What type of ground you on , would that be relevant to not using gravel ?

I thinking of not putting the clay back in , mix it with the topsoil above ground , the topsoil soil filter ok
If your repairing old tile drains sod was cut down from sides on to tile and clay then on near surface.
When I left school, a job here dug by Foster on tractor, father left clay for several weeks to weather before backfilling.
Even when we got Barth, still cut sides down on to tiles and joined any old drains into the system. That was when a busy spring would be setting 40 chain a day.
