Landini tractors - good, bad and ugly.....

Does anyone have any experience of Landini tractors?

Never had anything to do with them but local dealer has recently taken on the franchise. Had a 145hp 6L series on demo and quite liked it.

Plus points:

- Simple to use
- Good ergonomics/comfortable
- Local dealer is excellent in terms of backup
- Competitive price

Negatives:

- Reliability - Unknown
- Depreciation - again an unknown entity

I usually buy a tractor based on dealer back rather than individual brand.

So can anyone recommend these tractors or should I be looking at something more mainstream but from a bigger (more expensive) dealer whose backup isn't likely to be as good?

Thoughts anyone??

TIA

I worked on a fruit farm for almost 8 years and they had landinis for all the spraying, mowing and poly tunnel work. From 50hp mistrals up to two 100hp Rex tractors. We had a 125hp vision on demo too which they liked.
They were always very reliable, even with the mentally challenged seasonal foreign workers abusing them.
We found dealer back up to be very good too, maybe because there are a growing dealership and were keen to impress.

If my boss decided to buy one I wouldn't think twice about driving it. The newer ones seem to be getting a good name and they are getting more and more popular so as long as you know you've got the dealer backup then I would go for it.

We had a 2007 Landini vision 105 for 7 years from new. I never liked it but then it's down to personal preference. I believe they are made alongside McCormick tractors and share many parts. It was ok but quite "cheap and cheerful".

When we came to sell it the resalve values offered by onther franchise dealers were awful. I won't be having another but that's not to say they haven't improved.
