Landlords insurance

Without going into the why's and for's, on an AHA tenancy of land with some buildings, does the landlord need to provide insurance, or the Tennant? I know with short term let's of houses landlords insure the structure, but what is the usual drill with farm buildings?
Thanks in advance

Landlord insures the buildings if they're his, we insure the buildings we own on our AHA.

He is responsible for major repairs on his buildings as well, I'll replace an odd roof sheet, downspout, gutter repair on their buildings FOC

It comes down to who holds the "insurable interest". That is usually the owner of the asset, unless a contractual stipulation insists that the tenant is responsible, such as you would find in a full insuring / repairing lease.
