Broughan a very strong trailer, used to work with 20t trailers on forestry roads and they were the only ones that could stand up to the work. Had herron, Richard Western, stains and krampe trailers running next to them. Krampe were also good trailers but big and bulky for the tonnage, Richard Westerns were well enough but did wear. Herron were the worst for undercarriage problems and wearing out running gear, were also horrible to pull.

Broughan was easy to pull, delight to reverse and had few if any issues, good strong trailer wouldn't have anything else.

Very happy with my 15t broughan but larrington are supposed to be the best in the business for trailers arent they? i never dared to price one but guessing they would be up there with the most expensive. if i were buying again id probably go Bailey as now ive seen a 24T bailey at work im not sure my Broughan was worth the extra money over a bailey of the same volume. there was quite a substantial price difference between bailey and most of the other brands, and they seem a solid trailer.

I would be very surprised if a broughan cost more than a bailey.

We are pricing trailers at the moment.

For a trailer the same volume it was, but a 16t bailey is a whole lot bigger than a 16t broughan
Surely for a dump trailer weight is more important than volume? You can spec a broughan with higher sides if carting a lot of light stuff with it, high sides on a dump trailer are asking for trouble when carting something dense and drivers who load to the moon!

Yes and no, when comparing prices equivalent volume is the most accurate comparison, assuming chassis size, plate thickness, axles and tyres are similar.
