LEAF conservation etc "action plan"

So for Leaf's "landscape and nature conservation and enhancement plan" I'm supposed to provide a five year 'action plan'.

How "action - packed" does my action plan have to be?

Can I have five years of "only cut hedges every year when necessary for safety"

Or am I expected to have planted thirty hectares of wildwood and reintroduced a beaver by year five?

Hi. As an ex LEAF auditor l saw a wide range of these plans. Will depend on which individual audits you. Best advice would be to keep it simple. Lift some of the elements/targets in the LEAF on line audit. Many time’s if the farmer was in the “Higher Tier Stewardship” many of my responses would be “completed in/or part of Higher Tier”. Hope that helps but make sure you pick at least 4 target species and include reference to Bees and Pollenators. It’s been a couple of years since l finished with LEAF but in that time l did see some very “thin” plans that others had passed. 👍

No Beavers year 3, wolves year 4 and stopped producing food and rewilded year 5. LEAF will love that and you will be a star supplier to Waitrose. Who will source from abroad. I jest of course, or do I.

As an ex auditor did you buy into the questions and audit, or consider all or part of it cobblers.
